I think part of the issue is there is a limited system of feedback. Or at least a method of gaging success stories as well as failures that is available to all. One problem is that often these websites set up for reviewing get hi-jacked by the high priests of science or their minions.

Greetings.
I paused for a while reading the first paragraph of this posting.
From a completely non religious perspective, regarding Jesus as a human being, stories in the Bible suggest that he was in fact such an ultimate healer. That of course if one is to believe everything that's written in the Bible.

The first paragraph in this posting, helps those of us who are not such ultimate healers feel better about ourselves, but I'm honestly not sure that just as Jesus was an ultimate healer, there aren't others like him, here and now.

Being such an ultimate healer (I'm not talking about myself), must be so humbling and awe eliciting, that such a person may just keep it for themselves and those in need of healing who happen to cross paths with them. The internet is not the real world - much of the real things that happen have no indication of in the internet.

I wish you well.

I agree, Val. It's a mystery, and definitely investment in an outcome is a big stumbling block. The energy does go where it will!

Thanks for sharing this topic. As an energy healer I've seen amazing things happen and what appears to be nothing happening at all. It's a mystery. I do know that when I have a beginner's mind, it all seems easier and more effective. Investing yourself in an outcome often leads to disappointment. I always tell people, and myself, "I offer the energy and the energy goes where it will".

Hi Trevor,
My sense is that self care is the most important thing for anyone who is on a healing journey. I respect healers who, like yourself, who place an emphasis on helping their clients maintain their own well-being as opposed to creating a dependency on the healer.

I am a colour therapist which is a mixture of spiritual healing and colour psychology. I can balance the energy centres or chakras the same way as a reiki healer but by using different methods.

However, that only tackles half the problem, colour therapy is a self help therapy and includes an element of counselling to help clients maintain a sense of balance with regard to the stresses they face in life. This helps the client maintain their well being and hence reduce the need to be healed.
